#E305 Rare Oak Parlor Ice Box!!
You don't run across these very often! Oak "parlor ice" box. These ice boxes look more like a piece of furniture than the traditional 3 door icebox. This parlor ice box has an ornate mirrrored back with rope twist moldings, scroll work and shelf. The top lifts up to reveal a porcelain lined trough to fill with water and the ice block would sit next to it so you would have cold water. *Under the lid is part of the original paper label that reads " THE LEONARD CLEANABLE REFRIGERATOR, THE BEST ON EARTH, PAT. MARCH 1885". There is a brass spigot on the outside to let the water out. Carved bottom door with shelving. Original and beautiful brass hardware.
